Study 1 : Faster relief from symptoms and prolonged remission with Dr.JRK’s 777 oil in 12 weeks of treatment

  • 30 patients with chronic plaque psoriasis applied the leaf extract of Dr. JRK’s 777 oil twice a day for 12 weeks.
  • They were assessed once a week for improvement in degree of itching, thickness of plaques, erythema and scaling.

Study findings

After 12 weeks of treatment ,

  • 29.4% of patients had 100 % improvement
  • 41.2% of patients showed 75% improvement
  • 29.4% of patients had 50% improvement.
  • Most of the patients had prolonged remission.

Study 2 : Efficacy of Dr. JRK’s 777 Oil is comparable to Calcipotriol and without any side effects

This comparative study with Dr. JRK’s 777 oil and calcipotriol was done for 12 weeks to prove its efficacy and absence of any side effects.

  • Group A, 25 patients were asked to use Calcipotriol on the right side of the body and Dr.JRK’s 777 oil on the left side.
  • Group B, 4 patients were asked to use Calcipotriol on the right side of the body and coconut oil on the left side.
  • Group C, 6 patients were asked to use Dr.JRK’s 777 oil on the right side and coconut oil on the left side.

Study findings

After 12 weeks

  • Average PASI score for both Calcipotriol and Dr. JRK’s 777 oil were measured and compared with initial values.
  • Both the products showed 91% improvement in PASI score proving their efficacy.
  • significant decrease in erythema, thickness and scaling were also observed.
  • Hypercalcemia is a well-known side effect of Calcipotriol which was not observed in Dr.JRK’s 777 oil.

Study 3 : Efficacy of Dr.JRK’s 777 oil for Psoriasis

  • 30 cases were studied for histopathological analysis for 6 months to find out the efficacy of the Dr.JRK’s 777 oil.
  • The patients were asked to apply Dr.JRK’s 777 oil over the lesions twice a day.
  • Periodic biopsy and photography before and after treatment were taken and grading of epidermal and inflammatory changes was noted.

Study findings

  • Reduction in parakeratosis, diminished heights of rete ridges and reduction in the number of inflammatory cells confirmed the efficacy of the drug .
  • Most of the cases did not get recurrence for 3 years.

Clinical proof that Dr.JRK’s 777 oil postpones recurrence and prolongs the remission period.

Study 4 : Efficacy of topical treatment in management of Psoriasis

  • 30 patients with chronic plaque psoriasis at Andhra Medical College and King George Hospital, Visakhapatnam was taken for the study.
  • Degree of scaling, plaque thickness, itching and erythema were considered for the assessment.
  • Patients were advised to apply the oil over the lesions twice a day and they were assessed weekly. Total duration of the study was 12 weeks.

Study findings

Out of 30 numbers,

  • 8 patients showed 100% improvement
  • 4 patients showed 75% improvement
  • 18 patients showed 50% improvement

Inhibition of keratinocyte multiplication by Dr.JRK’s 777 oil

  • Hyperproliferation was induced in guinea pig and Dr.JRK’s 777 oil was applied topically.
  • The level of keratinisation was studied by kinetics of cell division.

Study findings

  • Cell division reduced significantly in Dr.JRK’s 777 oil treated cells of guinea pig when compared to untreated control .

In Vitro study

MTT assay: Effect of Dr.JRK’s 777 oil versus methotextrate in keratinocyte multiplication inhibition was studied using MTT assay.

Study findings

  • Dr.JRK’s 777 oil was found to inhibit 60% of proliferation at the concentration of 1mg- 2.5mg; whereas at the same concentration, methotextrate was found to inhibit only 24% of the cell proliferation.

Rancidity test

Dr. JRK’s 777 oil and Psorolin oil proven to be non-rancid and safe

Rancid oil preparations are harmful to the psoriatic skin and are known to cause irritation, scaling and even elicit inflammatory responses.

When psoriasis patients are treated with cheap rancid oil preparations available in the market and exposed to sunlight/UV radiation, the generation of reactive oxygen species in the skin is induced which leads to oxidative stress and can damage the skin.

Study 1: Acid value of Dr. JRK’s 777 oil and Psorolin oil was evaluated and compared to various AYUSH products that are available in market.

Study findings

  • Dr. JRK’s 777 oil and Psorolin oil have acid values extremely low i.e 1.5 and 1.0 well below the BIS and are proven to be non-rancid.
  • Most of the market products were found to be highly rancid in nature with high acid values of which was far above the standard 7 given by BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards).

Study 2: Study was carried out to prove the technological standardization adopted in the preparation of Dr. JRK’s 777 oil to prevent rancidity.

Study findings

  • Study findings showed that both sun drying and heating process of Vetpalai/Wrightia oil have significantly increased the Rancidity when compared to the Proprietary process of Dr.JRK’ S 777 oil.

Careful Selection of Raw Materials- the Reason for the Superiority of Dr. JRK’s 777 Oil

Qualitative and quantitative abundance of metabolites profile of Wrightia tinctoria leaf with reference to their age (young, matured and senescent) was studied by HPTLC (High Performance Thin-Layer Chromatography).

Bio activity was also determined by MTT assay. Further, the difference between the young and matured leaf was tested by anatomical and pharmacognostic means.

Study findings

  • The quantitative and qualitative abundance of metabolites was found to be higher in young leaf, which was as same as in the case of Dr. JRK’s 777 oil.
  • The finding suggests that the careful selection of raw materials attributes to the superiority of Dr. JRK’s 777 oil.
